Mr. Frank Maher

As a child I read quite a bit. My father was a book worm and there were always history books littering the house. I myself became obsessed with ‘The Famous Five’ and ‘The Secret Seven’ as a child, swapping and borrowing books at school. I balanced these books with a fondness for comics too, reading ‘Roy of the Rovers’ and ‘Whizzer and Chips’.

As a teenager I read a lot less before I started developing an interest in science and began reading any form of popular science I could get my hands on. The interest stayed with me and I still read quite a bit of popular science to this day in either book or magazine form.

During college I developed a strong interest in reading books on history which along with the occasional novel would be what I would mostly read.

At the moment I am dipping in and out of ‘Mao: The Unknown Story’, ‘Milosz’s ABC’ and Camus’ ‘The Plague’. Amongst my hobbies, I would value reading most. There are few other things I find as relaxing or as enjoyable.
