Mr. Greg McWilliams All my life I have been interested in reading. I found it a great way to relax, particularly on long journeys as a teen. It is hard to select what has been my favourite book; the obvious fictional books are always a good read, from Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter to any of Dan Browne’s pieces. One of my favourite books is Under a Volcano by Malcolm Lowery. I am a geography enthusiast and anything to do with Geology I will read. I am a collector of national geographic magazines and currently I have over 1000 copies dating back to 1918, they are my pride and joy. My first book that was given to me was the Hardy Boy’s adventures, it sucked me straight in. Recently I have been reading a large amount of Biographies, particularly in the field of sports, as I am trying to develop as a rugby coach and learning new ideas and thought processes from the best, Rod McQueen and Clive Woodward’s books have had a big influence in how I now approach the game. Currently I am reading a portrait of an artist as a young man by James Joyce, which I find hard going but extremely interesting. I would always recommend reading as a past time as it opens your mind, improves your grammar and gets you through some long periods of time in waiting rooms and airports. |
